Act interested in a buying a car and let them know you are interested in a stick shift but you don't know how to drive one yet (this is common...since I was one). A good salesman will put you behind the wheel and let you learn. The hardest part about stick is taking off from a stop, so just practice that. Go around dealerships doing that and hopefully you'll have learned basic stick shifting before they post pictures of you at the dealerships. When it comes down to it though, just go out and buy a stick shift. I didn't know how to drive stick before my first manual car and after a week of sweating through it, I got it down in a month. You could also get a part-time job shuttling cars for awhile, and they'd HAVE to train you on stick shifts AND you'd get paid for it!!
