Comments on how much is it likely to cost me to learn to drive (in England)?

I have looked into this, and you should count on paying around £20 – £25 per lesson, some do block bookings or intensive courses. Try contacting the DVLA, they should be able to help you find courses in your area. So far I’ve found BSM (the British School of Motoring) to offer the most services. (sorry that grammar isn’t very good, but I hope you get the gist of it).

if you get your license having spent less than £1000 you will be doing well. Try and get someone to take you out in between lessons and you may save some £’s although insuring a learner driver can be expensive too. Good luck and don’t try and rush though – when you start driving it is great for feeling for independent although you will also realise that it is a big hole in your pocket!
