I’m looking for a good car to learn how to drive a manual. Any ideas?
mpguardsoldier asked:
I’m almost 21 and my parents have been promising me to help me buy a car for years now, because of this they decided they are willing to spend more money since I’ve waited so long. I’m looking at about a 20,000 dollar price cap. I would like to get a manual to learn how to drive stick on. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic, very easy cars to learn stick on
lol, save your parents the money. And yourself the hassle of messing up a brand new car.
Look for either a mid-90′s Subaru Imprezza (Has, stock, one of the most forgiving clutches I’ve ever seen), a late-80′s GMC S15/Chevy S10 (Toughest stock clutch I’ve ever seen), or a 95-99 Dodge Neon (Best of both worlds. Solid clutch, but not too much either way.)
anybody who is patient and willing to let you drive their car.
p.s. manual cars r bad for stop n go traffic. wears down clutch assembly faster.
A Honda Civic is a great car to learn on. They r good on gas too. Even if u live in a city it is a good choice. Do not let anyone talk u out of a manual if that is what u want to learn, It is so much more fun and gives you better control in bad weather. I love them and would never drive anything else…….
